Our Story

Loretta is a young French-Danish start-up, born from the encounter between a professor and a PhD student with a shared entrepreneurial spirit—and above all, a common desire: to make skin science more precise, more accessible, and more human.

Our passionate team embarked on this journey to support and improve the cosmetic industry—but also to fight against the skin diseases that have affected our loved ones.

In a short time, we’ve succeeded: within less than a year, major French cosmetic companies adopted our services, and we proved our value through prestigious competitions like the Cosmetic Victories.

The HS-DAFM

The High-Speed Dermal Atomic Force Microscope (HS-DAFM) is at the core of our innovations. Miniaturized, accelerated, and specialized for skin analysis, this system scans the surface of skin cells in just a few seconds—compared to several hours for a typical AFM. It maintains the advantages of traditional models (such as one-million-fold magnification and 3D sample imaging) while overcoming their slowness and bulkiness.
